What type of energy is created by vibrating objects?

Vibrating objects create sound energy because sound is generated by the mechanical movement of these objects. When an object vibrates, it compresses and rarefies the surrounding air, creating pressure waves that travel through the medium. These waves are interpreted by our ears as sound. This is fundamentally different from other types of energy such as light energy, which is produced by electromagnetic waves, or chemical energy, which is stored in the bonds of molecules. Thermal energy, associated with the temperature of an object due to the motion of its particles, is not a direct result of vibrations in the same way that sound energy is. Therefore, when objects vibrate and create sound, it is sound energy that is produced.
